Archbishop Gallagher to receive honorary doctorate in Cameroon

Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, began a five-day visit to Cameroon on Thursday, November 14, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the signing of the framework agreement between the Holy -Headquarters and this African country. in 2014.
According to the Terza Loggia account of the Secretariat of State on the social platform “X”, Bishop Gallagher is expected to participate in several meetings and events.
He plans to meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lejeune Mbella Mbella, on Friday, then pay a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute. Today, he will also meet the Cameroonian bishops.
On Saturday, November 16, Bishop Gallagher will celebrate mass at the minor basilica of Mary Queen of the Apostles in Mvolye, in the capital Yaoundé.
Monday, November 18, the Vatican Secretary in charge of Relations with States will be received in audience by the President of the Republic, Mr. Paul Biya.
The final event will be a conference at the Catholic University of Central Africa in Yaoundé, where Bishop Gallagher will receive an honorary doctorate.
